Chief Executive Officer
Tim is an experienced managing director who has worked at the forefront of the energy and utility sectors for over 30 years.
Together with Adrian Pike he co-founded energy efficiency firm Anesco Ltd in 2010. The award-winning company pioneered the development of energy efficiency, renewables and battery storage in the UK and was named one of the top 100 clean tech companies in the world for four consecutive years.
Tim has also acted as Chairman for Pride, a joint venture responsible for estate management, maintenance and refurbishment at almost 100 MOD sites.
An electrical engineer by profession, Tim has been responsible for building one of the largest M&E contractors in the country. His contracting business was heavily involved in one of the first installations of electric vehicle chargers in the UK and it was his involvement in this that sparked a desire to lead InstaVolt as CEO.
Chief Financial Officer
A qualified chartered accountant, Adrian has a proven track record in growing agile businesses within the clean energy and technology sectors. In his previous role as CFO at one of the world’s top 100 cleantech companies, turnover grew from £21million to over £200million, making it for two years running the fastest growing private company in the UK.
Adrian has also been CFO at private-equity owned international consultancy business Alpha FMC Group, and Financial Controller at P2i Ltd, a rapidly growing company operating within the field of nano-technology.
His experiences also include finance roles in the logistics and education sectors, as well as time spent as an auditor at KPMG.
With unrivalled industry experience, Adrian has enjoyed a career within the energy sector that currently spans over 30 years. He is a leading figure within energy efficiency and has spearheaded the growth of the sector throughout his career. In 2010 he co-founded energy efficiency firm, Anesco Ltd, with COO Tim Payne. Under his leadership the company was ranked as number one in The Sunday Times Fast Track list two years in a row, as well as coming top of the newspaper’s Profit Track 100 in 2016.
Adrian retired from his role as CEO of Anesco in early 2016 and now holds several consultancy roles. He is delighted to take the part time role of chairman at InstaVolt.
Colin has over 20 years’ industrial experience in the power sector, M&A and project finance. A partner at Zouk for more than a decade, Colin has led some of the largest renewable projects across Europe such as biomass, geothermal and solar.
Colin was previously CEO of Killingholme Power Group Ltd where, over an 18-month period, he oversaw the overhaul of the 680MW gas-fired power station, which resulted in a trebling in value and returned over £300m to the lenders.
He boasts a strong track record in operations, energy trading, corporate finance and project finance.
George joined the Infrastructure team at Zouk in 2012. He has over 8 years’ experience in project finance, infrastructure and renewable energy sectors. At Zouk the infrastructure team has investments in the wind, solar, waste-to-energy, geothermal and electric vehicle infrastructure sectors.
George previously worked at the FTSE listed construction services company Carillion PLC for 4 years where he worked in the Private Finance division which invests the company’s balance sheet in PFI/PPP infrastructure assets in the education, health and transport sectors across the UK, Middle East and Canada. George is a Chartered Corporate Treasurer (AMCT) and has a BSc in Economics.
