InstaVolt, the UK’s largest ultra-fast charging network, is pleased to announce the appointment of José Contreras as Managing Director for the Iberian region, furthering its ambition to expand into new European markets.

With a career spanning over 25 years in investment banking and the energy sector, José Contreras brings extensive experience and strategic vision to his new role. For the past nine years, he has led Diggia Group’s UK operations, driving the development of a wide range of green energy assets. Under the Wenea and Gamma Energy brands, he has led projects involving electric vehicle charging infrastructure, solar farms, battery storage, and energy efficiency assets.

Prior to his work in the renewable energy sector, José had a distinguished career in investment banking, where he led the financing of over €30 billion in loans, bonds, and equity transactions across diverse sectors and geographies.

InstaVolt is now focused on implementing its ultra-rapid charging solutions in Spain and Portugal — two markets that, together, represent nearly 60 million people and demonstrate accelerated growth in electric vehicle sales. José’s leadership will be instrumental in ensuring that InstaVolt’s unique value proposition — combining high-end technology with excellence in customer service — is replicated successfully on the Iberian Peninsula.

“We are delighted that Jose has joined us at this stage in our growth. His experience, vision and deep knowledge of the energy sector will be crucial for our strategic expansion in the Iberian Peninsula,” stated Delvin Lane, CEO InstaVolt.
