McDonald’s at Acton Court, Stafford, owned and operated by Franchisee David Knight, is excited to announce the installation of two new InstaVolt ultra-rapid charging points, the first of their kind at this location. This initiative is part of McDonald’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and enhancing convenience for its valued customers.

Capable of charging at 160kWh, the new InstaVolt points can deliver an 80% charge in under 20 minutes, offering fast and efficient service for electric vehicle (EV) drivers. Customers can recharge their vehicles while enjoying their favourite McDonald’s meals, making the experience both practical and enjoyable.

With growing demand for EV infrastructure, these chargers support the increasing number of electric vehicle users and encourage greener transport options. The charging points can be easily located using the InstaVolt app or website, allowing customers to plan their visits and charging sessions with ease.

The Stafford site is part of a wider complex conveniently located just minutes from the M6. The area also features a Holiday Inn hotel and a Whacky Warehouse children’s indoor play area, making it a key stop for families and travellers. Open 24/7, the restaurant and chargers are ideally positioned to serve EV drivers on one of the UK’s busiest motorways.

Franchisee David Knight, who owns and operates the Stafford restaurant, commented: “I am delighted to be able to offer our customers even more convenience when visiting our restaurant at Junction 13 of the M6. We are now the perfect stop off for that business commute or family excursion.”

Simon Smith, Chief Commercial Officer at InstaVolt, said: “We’re delighted to install two ultra-rapid, reliable chargers at the McDonald’s restaurant in Stafford, further strengthening our partnership. This is the third site we’ve equipped in the Stafford and Wolverhampton area with Franchisee David Knight, and it’s been a pleasure working alongside him to help expand the region’s EV charging infrastructure. Our goal is to bring easily accessible, ultra-rapid charging to the West Midlands, a key region in need of improved EV provision, and working with committed partners like David makes that ambition all the more achievable.”
