To support our growth, we are looking to recruit a Business Intelligence Analyst, with a great work ethic and the ability to work under their own initiative, to support our in-house finance team.
The role
Joining a small team of Analysts, the Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that the business has easy access to the information it requires to understand business and market performance. This role will work across all the countries that InstaVolt operates in (Currently UK, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, and Portugal), developing and maintaining the standard management reporting suite that covers all business functions. Working closely with the Data Engineer, the Business Intelligence team help to ensure the data pipeline is robust and that all reporting is connected to a centrally maintained Data Warehouse.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain standard suite of reports ensuring data integrity, and work with Data Engineer to ensure that required data points are available in the Data warehouse
- Working closely with key stakeholders across the business, converting business requirements into user friendly reports to uncover actionable insights
- Be responsible for controlling report access
- Produce ad Hoc analyses, both self-driven and business requested, in a standardised format.
- Help to educate the business on available reporting and how to self-serve the data
- Maintain documentation of critical tasks
Key skills and experience required
- Advanced level of proficiency building visualisations and data models using Power BI
- Working knowledge using SQL to access data
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis
- Excellent organisational skills to meet deadlines and handle changing priorities
- Keen to learn and continue development of their technical skillset
- Self-starter, but able to work cross-functionally and within a team
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- The ability to convert business requests into simple reports
- Ability to manage own workload and be comfortable working in a fast paced environment
