Job Title: Junior Legal Counsel
Location: Basingstoke
Base: InstaVolt Head Office – Hybrid working after probation period
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 depending on experience + 10% discretionary annual bonus
To support our growth, we are looking to recruit a Legal Counsel/Executive, with a great work ethic and the ability to work under their own initiative, to support our in-house legal team.
This a great opportunity to get involved with one of the fastest growing companies in an industry that is going to see huge growth over the coming years, whether that would be making a move from private practice or working in-house previously.
Role Overview:
The role will include, but not limited to, the below tasks;
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating leases with the client’s solicitor
- Carrying out of title review and circulating this to the internal teams together with raising
any necessary title enquiries with the Landlord’s solicitor;
- Supporting the development of standard legal documents and templates;
- Drafting and issuing of Exclusivity Agreements;
- Working closely with external solicitors and internal teams to ensure processes are followed throughout the lifetime of the project
- Searches
- HMLR Applications
- Review of Contracts (including HoTs, AFL and general commercial contracts)
Desirable Characteristics & Skills:
- High level of personal integrity and drive

- Experience of commercial leases
- Able to work to deadlines, prioritize own workload effectively under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.

Required Qualifications:
- Experience of Contract and Land Law processes and procedures are essential
- At least 12 months of previous legal experience in a similar position
- Degree/CILEx educated
