InstaVolt has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our busy and energetic team. The role will be based around InstaVolt International Sites, with country-wide travel required to oversee schemes. There will be a requirement to visit InstaVolt’s Head Office in Basingstoke, England from time to time, but all travel will be expensed.
As an InstaVolt Project Manager you will oversee the end-end delivery of our new Rapid Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging sites, including construction, installation, grid connection and activation. You will provide management, leadership, and coordination of InstaVolt teams, contractors, suppliers, and grid connection providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting into the International Development Director, as a Project Manager at InstaVolt your key focus will be to deliver operational and safety excellence throughout the lifecycle of your projects;
- Liaise with our Development and Legal team during design stages
- Managing tendering processes for contractor appointment
- Liaising with our grid connection providers to ensure the timely completion of our connection
- Liaising with our ICP partners for timely design completion and connection
- Planning and coordinating all resources required in the construction and activation of our new Charging sites, including the completion of Health & Safety Construction Phase Plans
- Liaising with clients & customers, keeping them informed on installation planning & onsite progress
- Compiling & maintaining project tracker information to report project progress to the Head of Project Delivery
Key Skills & Knowledge:
- Ability to work in a high pace environment and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Highly organised, dynamic, and motivated individual
- Strong project administrative skills, including MS Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commercial awareness and proven budget management experience
- Valid and clean driving licence
Work Experience & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Project Management
- Experience around the installation of LV networks up to & including 11kV Unit Substations
- Proven track record of delivering rapid EV charging sites on budget & on time
- Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at a time
- SMSTS Training & Certification
- Project Management Qualification – Prince2/APM are preferred
- IDNO/DNO/ICP experience is an advantage
