£40,000 – £43,500 per annum Depending on experience + 10% discretionary bonus
The role:
Reporting to our Data Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the maintenance and growth of InstaVolt’s Data Warehouse and Data Pipeline. The role will involve working closely with our existing Data Engineer, as well as our Data Analysts, to integrate new data sources, deliver enhancements, and expand functionality. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in data modelling and solving technical problems as well as a clear desire to learn and contribute to the success of the team.
Key responsibilities:
• Monitor the Data Stack, identifying and resolving any issues.
• Design, build, and modify data models using dbt Core and VS Code.
• Review and analyse potential new data sources.
• Integrate new data sources into the Data Pipeline and Data Warehouse.
Requirements:
• Highly competent in SQL, preferably PostgreSQL or Snowflake SQL within dbt
• Understanding of Cloud Data Warehouse concepts and design
• Knowledge of SOAP and REST APIs, JSON and YAML
• Basic Python
• English fluent

• Experience of any of the following is preferred, but not required:
• Git / version control / CI/CD using Bitbucket
• Data modelling
• Fivetran, dbt and Snowflake
• AWS S3 and Lambda
