Roll out the red carpet and dust off your posh frocks and tuxedos… it’s awards season at InstaVolt!

This week we are thrilled to have picked up two awards at the Future Digital Awards for Smart Cities & IoT Innovation (FDAs) – hot on the heels of three nominations at the Oscars of the EV world, the Electric Vehicle Innovation & Excellence Awards (EVIEs)!

At the FDAs, we were named the platinum winner of the Best Urban EV Charging Solution category – recognising our commitment to rolling our simple-to-use EV chargers across the UK, ensuring there’s no regional disparity.

We were also honoured to receive the Juniper Research Pathway to Net Zero Award. The judges said this was presented for our “efforts in creating frameworks for the use of electric vehicles for both consumers and fleet managers and providing EV charging infrastructure across the UK.”

All this excitement came just days after we were announced as finalists in three categories at the EVIEs:

  • Chargepoint Network of the Year
  • Charging Destination of the Year – for our Stroud Park hub at Banbury
  • Private Sector Infrastructure Strategy of the Year.

Luckily, we only have to wait until October 5 to hear the results!

To be recognised for our efforts so far is incredibly rewarding… but we know there’s still a long way to go. With the government’s target of ceasing the sale of new ICE vehicles by 2030 – and our own ambitious plans to increase our network to 10,000 rapid and ultrarapid EV chargers in the next 10 years – there’s still work to be done.

So, here’s to celebrating past successes and looking forward to new developments. We can’t wait to see what the future holds!
