InstaVolt has been named “Best Universal Charging Provider” in the prestigious 2021 Driving Electric Awards.

As the UK’s largest owner operated network of rapid electric vehicle chargers, this is the fourth time in the past nine months InstaVolt has been recognised with an award for reliability and ease of use.

The Driving Electric Awards have been held annually since 2018 and celebrates the best hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric cars on the market.

The Best Universal Charging Provider category is new for 2021, recognising the growing number of charging networks springing up across the UK. The award is given for ease of use, accessibility and affordability – of which InstaVolt ranked extremely high.

Richard Ingram, editor of DrivingElectric, said: “We are delighted to present InstaVolt with Best Universal Charging Provider in the 2021 DrivingElectric Awards. The company is clearly very forward thinking and will no doubt pave the way for the industry – certainly one to watch in 2021 and beyond.”

Adrian Keen, CEO, said: “I’m really proud that we’ve won the first Best Universal Charging Provider Award, setting the bar for standards in the vehicle charging network. InstaVolt continually invests in state-of-the-art technology, as well as a team of round-the-clock engineers, to ensure our customers always have the best experience with us.”

InstaVolt’s chargers can be used with a contactless payment card – the first network in the UK to introduce this technology – and InstaVolt is shortly introducing an optional app to give EV drivers more benefits and bespoke content.

Adrian added: “An award like this simply shows we have achieved what we set out to do, which is to provide a simple to use, rapid charging system for our customers.”

Earlier this year InstaVolt was named as the best electric vehicle charging network for multiple brands in 2020 in Auto Express’ first ever chargepoint operator survey. In its Driver Power customer satisfaction rankings, the highly respected motoring magazine also gives InstaVolt its coveted “Recommended” award.

The accolade adds to the recognition that InstaVolt earned in the inaugural Electric Vehicle Innovation and Excellence (EVIE) Awards in November, where industry experts named InstaVolt Chargepoint Network of the Year.
