• InstaVolt has activated a record number of chargers during March 2023
  • The expansion is in line with growth of the EV market, with SMMT revealing that 76,233 EVs have already been purchased in 2023 and 46,626 in March alone

UK, London 05 April 2023 – InstaVolt, the leading rapid electric vehicle charger network, today announces that March 2023 marks its most active month to date, with a record 80 rapid chargers activated throughout the UK during the course of the month.

The record activation is servicing the significant consumer adoption of EVs across the UK, as the latest SMMT figures reveal that 46,626 EVs were purchased in March 2023, a 18.5% increase from this time last year, demonstrating significant growth.

The recently installed chargers cover more than 10 different regions across the UK, outlining InstaVolt’s commitment to provide infrastructure for drivers country wide. This includes the expansion of InstaVolt’s largest rapid charging hub, Stroud Park on the M40 as well as a six-charger site in Bristol.

Adrian Keen, CEO at InstaVolt says: “The accelerating expansion of our public charging network across the UK is a huge success for InstaVolt and a testament to the growing demand for EV infrastructure.

We have made huge strides as a business already this year and we are firmly committed to extending this growth throughout 2023. We’ve also had some significant milestones along the way, including energising our 1,000th charger and the expansion of our flagship rapid charging hub at Stroud Park, Banbury.”
