InstaVolt, the UK’s largest and most reliable public EV (Electric vehicle) rapid charging network, has opened a new site at Bob Rainsforth Way, north of Gainsborough and close to A631.

Four rapid chargers offering speeds of up to 160kW for EV drivers have been added to a small shopping parade which includes a pizza takeaway as well, Subway and Spar.  This latest addition brings the second InstaVolt EV charging site to Gainsborough, following the InstaVolt site at Marshalls Yard Shopping Centre.

The new InstaVolt site has been carefully chosen, situated opposite a busy new housing development.

With plans to install 10,000 rapid chargers by 2030, InstaVolt currently has more than 1,300 chargers across the country and is installing at a faster rate than any other charge point operator.

There are now more than 920,000 EVs on Britain’s roads and with new models coming onto the market, consumers have never had a bigger or more affordable choice of vehicle. Charging infrastructure is increasing to match demand as more people make the switch to electric vehicles.

Voted as one of Britain’s top rapid charging networks**, InstaVolt’s chargers are powered using 100% renewable energy, easy to use and take contactless payment: there’s no need to sign up and no subscription required.

Drivers can visit the website, or sign up to the optional InstaVolt App, where they can find their nearest charging station, search for real-time availability across its sites, and pay for their charge – all in one place.
