InstaVolt is excited to announce plans to install up to 100 electric car chargers at selected Booths stores across the North West and Yorkshire.

We are currently working with the company to install rapid chargers at the Penwortham, Longton, Ulverston, Ilkley, Lytham, Barrowford, Hesketh Bank, Kirkby Lonsdale and Garstang, Keswick, Carnforth, Windemere and Scotforth stores.

There will be at least two rapid chargers installed at each site, with the potential for more should there be the demand.

Construction is already underway at the above locations and the first chargers will be connected in the near future. Keep an eye on our social media channels to see when the chargers are up and running and ready for use.

Like all of our charging stations, those at Booths are available for EV drivers to use on a pay-as-you-go basis with no subscription, card or membership needed. Drivers simply tap their contactless credit or debit card to pay.

Tim Payne, CEO of InstaVolt, said: “As sales of electric cars rise it’s becoming increasingly important to create a public network of rapid chargers in places that fit into people’s lives and allow them to charge their EVs just like they’d top up with petrol or diesel. Destinations such as supermarkets are a perfect example and we’re excited to be working with Booths. This move to install InstaVolt chargers will see the chain become a significant part of the UK’s public charging infrastructure.”

Chairman and CEO Edwin Booth added: “At Booths we take a pride in providing the best possible service to customers both old and new. With the increase in electric car ownership we are working with InstaVolt to offer a new and important facility which is part of the journey towards a more sustainable future for motoring.”
