InstaVolt is the new sponsor of the Small Electric Car of the Year category at the What Car? Awards 2020.

It comes as the firm is fast earning a reputation as EV drivers’ favourite rapid charging network.

CEO Adrian Keen said: “These awards are all about celebrating the very best vehicles on the market and, as the UK’s favourite rapid charging network, we’re thrilled to sponsor the Small Electric Car of the Year Award at this exciting time for the industry.

“We’re beginning to see a really diverse range of EVs at more accessible price-points coming to market, and 2020 is set to be the biggest year yet for EV adoption. This growth in different models offers real choice to consumers and will only serve to boost the numbers of EVs on the road. I’m really looking forward starting the year with such a prestigious event.”

The What Car? Awards are the highlight of the automotive industry calendar and celebrate the best new vehicles on the market.

Steve Huntingford, editor of What Car? magazine, said: “We are delighted to be working with InstaVolt. As a company dedicated to making electric motoring easier, they’re a perfect fit for our Small Electric Car of the Year award, where this is one of the key things we’re looking for. The What Car? Awards are the culmination of 12 months of testing and set the highest standard for the automotive industry.”

InstaVolt is no stranger to topping polls itself. Just recently electric car drivers across the UK named InstaVolt as their favourite charging network for multiple brands of EV (electric vehicle) for the second year running.

In the biggest annual survey of its kind, published by Zap-Map, InstaVolt was praised for its ease of use and contactless card payment solution.
