This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and passionate Business Development Manager to join the UK’s leading public EV charging company. You’ll play a key role in accelerating the growth of the company, helping to meet the UK’s net zero aims through the decarbonisation of transport in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for finding and developing opportunities to deploy EV chargers in strategic locations with partners across the UK. This will include managing the partner through the entire charger lease process in a timely and efficient manner aligned with the company’s targets.
£40,000 – £45,000 Basic with OTE of £90,000 – £100,000
The role
- Daily prospecting to develop a network of contacts, attracting new clients to meet company growth requirements
- Identifying market opportunities through meetings, networking, and other channels
- Meeting existing and potential clients and building positive relationships
- Preparing sales presentations and participating in sales meetings
- Driving engagement with clients to ensure swift and efficient completion of leases
- Ensuring the client understands the entire process and what is required to deploy chargers
- Preparing and executing tender opportunities
- Understand overall sales targets for the business and how they contribute to this
- Develop plan to deliver agreed sales targets including sales forecasts and financial projections
- Liaising with colleagues to develop sales and marketing strategies
- Producing reports for management
- Create and maintain working relationships internally to ensure risks, issues and opportunities are managed effectively and swiftly.
- Attending events such as exhibitions and conferences
Required skills and knowledge

- Good IT skills
Required experience
- Knowledge of the EV industry and or real estate industry
- Experiences in selling and growing accounts to meet business demand is critical. Being able to demonstrate experience and passion for a brand is an advantage
- Be able to seek new opportunities using tailorable approaches, whilst also being able to adapt to client requirements
- 5+ years in either business development or sales
- Experience with prioritising tasks accordingly to meet business requirements
- Proven experience working in a team and meeting deadlines
- Flexible style to work across multiple clients on a variety of levels
- The ability to manage numerous projects and still deliver the business objectives
- Self-motivated and able to hit the ground running in an extremely fast-paced environment
- Target driven and the ability to perform well under pressure
