Field Services Dispatcher

InstaVolt the largest owner operator of rapid electric vehicle charging stations across the UK and we pride ourselves on customer experience and satisfaction. Our team of Electrical Service Engineers provide a full range of maintenance to our stations, as well as playing a crucial role in the expansion of the network and the continuation of our reputation as best in the industry.

To support our growth we are looking to recruit a Field Services Dispatcher, with a great work ethic and the ability to work under their own initiative, to support the national field engineers on a daily basis.

Role Overview:
The role will be based at our Basingstoke Head office and will suit a dedicated individual who is looking to develop their career within this expanding and fast paced industry. The sector is one of the fastest growing in the country and this is a great opportunity to join one of the market leaders.  The role is primarily based around the support of a team of field based engineers and working within the team responsible for the reliability of Britain’s favourite public charging network.

 

The role will include, but not limited to, the below tasks;

  • Operational support to the Head of O&M
  • Using a cafm system to book jobs based on priority and engineers locations
  • Travel Booker
  • Planning schedules for a team of remote service engineers, including changing schedules at short notice to cater for any reactive/ repair work.
  • Tracking KPIs, monitoring site visits and monitoring the quality of work undertaken by the service engineers
  • Working closely with our Health and safety advisor in tracking and resolutions of near misses
  • Collate engineers certificates, qualifications driving records etc
  • Provide general admin support to the Network Performance Team, including holiday schedules, vehicle servicing and issues, new starter equipment, logging of business improvement reports etc
  • Administration Fleet Support, Services, Insurance, breakdown

 

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate with multiple members of staff, from reporting to their manager, members of the network performance team, project managers, members of the installation team and the team of service engineers.

 

Skills and experience needed for this role

This role would suit somebody who is dedicated to their role and looking to progress their career, who has great communication skills and the desire to see a job through to its conclusion. The industry and business are very fast moving and the successful candidate would be expected to have the ability to adapt and change to the needs of the business. The role will grow with the business and is a pivotal position within the company to ensure that InstaVolt remains at the pinnacle of the EV charging sector.

  • The ability to deal and communicate with a team of field based service engineers and react to a changing working environment and work under pressure.
  • Quickly adapt to changes and learn new skills and techniques.
  • Provide prompt response to inquiries whenever required, and the ability to deal with and resolve issues and queries.
  • Be able to work under their own initiative, with great organisational skills.
  • Have a good knowledge of Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word, Excel, Sharepoint and Onedrive.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety, or the willingness to learn, to ensure H&S issues are reported in the correct manner.
  • Good communication and customer facing skills, with the ability to communicate with a variety of people during your working day.
  • Experience in using a CAFM system would be ideal, but not mandatory

Salary: £24,500 – £26,500 Depending on experience.
