IT Support Engineer

InstaVolt Head Office – Chineham Business Park, Basingstoke

Basingstoke, In office 5 days per week

Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Support Engineer’s main role involves administering internal IT systems, managing user accounts, and troubleshooting laptop and mobile hardware. Additionally, they collaborate with customer-facing support teams to identify the root cause of issues and liaise with the development team to implement solutions. Furthermore, as a Support Engineer, you’ll collaborate with the IT Manager to enhance the security measures of InstaVolt systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients to ascertain the nature of their encountered issues.
  • Identify the root cause of user problems and collaborate with the 3rd line support team for resolution.
  • Manage Microsoft Intune for device management and software deployments.
  • Oversee laptop and mobile asset management, coordinating with vendors when necessary.
  • Offer expert advice to clients regarding potential solutions.
  • Escalate intricate issues and communicate workarounds and resolution timelines to users.
  • Install and configure computer hardware and software as required.
  • Administer user accounts by creating, disabling, and regularly reviewing access permissions.
  • Record and process support calls efficiently.
  • Assist in maintaining ISO 27001 and other compliance processes to support business operations.
  • Maintain online site portfolio.

Work Experience and Qualifications:

  • Administration of Intune MDM and Azure AD.
  • O365 & Teams administration.
  • Support MS Windows operating system.
  • Support MacOS and iOS support.
  • Knowledge of Azure Active directory

Desirable skills:

  • Jira Service Desk (Configuration and Day to Day usage)

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 Depending on experience.
