Winners of multiple industry and driver awards we are the market leader in EV infrastructure and due to the rapid expansion of the charging network we are now hiring for a skilled and dedicated warehouse operative.
The role of the Warehouse Operative will be based at our Basingstoke warehouse. The core responsibilities would involve handling the goods coming in and out of the warehouse (forklift licence is preferrable but not essential as we will provide the training for the right candidate), unpacking the shipping crates, basic vehicle maintenance, and general housekeeping duties. The candidate will also be involved in supporting the commissioning process for of DC charging units, which would include fitting basic components and applying the graphics elements on the chargers. The necessary training will be provided.
Salary: £12.21 per hour + overtime available. Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00PM (40 hours per week)
Key duties:
- Taking responsibility for goods in and goods out processes.
- Reporting all stock issues to Warehouse Stock Controller.
- Preparing and despatching materials and parts for onsite repairs and maintenance.
- Basic maintenance vehicle checks in line with company expectations.
- Assisting with performing regular 3rd party and internal stock checks (manual counts).
- Maintaining good housekeeping standards across the premises.
- Supporting the charger commissioning process (fitting of basic components into the chargers, graphics application).
- Adhering to a strict Health and Safety environment and its policies.
What do you need?
- Previous warehouse experience including knowledge of goods in/out process.
- Excellent attention to detail due to handling multiple parts and applying graphics on the units.
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to the tasks given.
- The ability to work without supervision and of your own initiative.
- Degree of physical fitness due to handling heavy parts and materials.
- Full UK Driving licence held for at least 1 year.
- Ability to comprehend and adhere to health and safety regulations and standards.
- Forklift licence (optional).
- Good communication and customer facing skills, with the ability to communicate with a variety of people during your working day.
- Flexibility as working outside of set working hours might be needed.
- Flexible approach to work travel, occasional site visits might be required to local sites.
- This role would suit an individual who takes pride in organising their own workspace, who is not afraid of a new challenge and has good problem-solving skills.
