EV drivers in Oxfordshire can now enjoy faster, more efficient charging thanks to the latest upgrade at the InstaVolt Banbury Hub, Junction 11 off the M40.

As part of InstaVolt’s nationwide upgrade programme, the Banbury Hub has had chargers upgraded to 160kW ultra-rapid chargers, delivering higher capacity, enhanced reliability, and improved energy efficiency. The site also includes 4 fully accessible bays for drivers who need more space.

The upgrade allows drivers to power up and get back on the road in as little as twenty minutes, offering a seamless experience for motorists travelling through one of the busiest stretches of the M40 corridor.

Located at Stroud Park, Banbury, the hub offers round-the-clock access and simple contactless payment with no subscriptions, apps, or connection fees. Each charge is powered by 100% renewable energy, reinforcing InstaVolt’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and cleaner transport.

Drivers can also take advantage of on-site amenities designed for comfort and convenience, including a vending machine stocked with a wide selection of snacks and drinks available 24/7 with simple contactless payment. Plus for a break, a range of popular amenities including a Costa Coffee Café and Drive-Thru, Miller & Carter Steakhouse, Hotel Chocolat, and a Premier Inn, giving drivers the option to grab a coffee, enjoy a meal, or rest overnight.

Also, if drivers use the InstaVolt app they can track charging history, locate stations, earn rewards, and benefit from lower off-peak charging rates of 60p from 8pm to 7am.
