At InstaVolt, we’re committed to staying ahead of the game by investing in upgrades that make charging faster, easier and more accessible for every EV driver. Our new nationwide programme, that is well underway, is focused on replacing older units with newer models and faster speeds in wider more accessible bays, ensuring our network continues to set the standard for convenience, and accessibility for every EV driver.

The nationwide upgrade started recently at Chineham Business Park in Basingstoke. The site’s two original 50kW chargers have been replaced with a 120kW charger. With this installation, drivers benefit from faster charging times and a wider more accessible bay that makes it easier to park and plug in. Whether you’re commuting through the business park, heading to work onsite, or visiting Fitness First next door, you can now power up in as little as twenty minutes.

As with all InstaVolt chargers, the new unit is easy to use with contactless payment accepted by all major credit and debit cards, as well as Apple Pay, Android Pay and a range of roaming partners. The site is open 24/7, backed by over 99% reliability, and powered entirely by 100% renewable energy ensuring a reliable and sustainable charging experience. The new ultra-rapid charger at Chineham Business Park is fully operational and ready to use, providing drivers in and around Basingstoke with faster, more convenient, and greener journeys.

This is part of our ongoing investment in the UK’s charging infrastructure. Over the coming months, more InstaVolt sites will be upgraded with ultra-rapid technology and more accessible bays to keep drivers moving including in Gainsborough, Tiverton, Crediton, Stroud and Sheffield with many more to come.
