InstaVolt launches 12-bay ultra-rapid EV charging hub at Woking’s Lion Retail Park
InstaVolt, the UK’s leading public ultra-rapid EV charging network, has switched on a brand new 12-charger ultra-rapid hub at Lion Retail Park, Woking, offering drivers fast, reliable and convenient charging in the heart of one of Surrey’s busiest retail destinations.
Delivered in partnership with British Land, the new installation features twelve state-of-the-art chargers, each powered by 100% renewable energy, and forms part of InstaVolt’s nationwide mission to make public EV charging simple and accessible for all.
With 24/7 access, accessible bays, contactless payment, and more than 99% network uptime, the Woking hub provides an ideal solution for EV drivers whether they’re stopping off mid-commute, visiting local shops, or heading into town.
Situated alongside popular retailers including Currys, Hobbycraft, Home Bargains and Pets at Home, and food favourites like Starbucks and Subway, the hub makes it easy for drivers to top up their vehicle while taking care of everyday tasks or grabbing a bite to eat.
This site will support the growing number of drivers making the switch to electric – and shows what’s possible when infrastructure is placed where people already spend time.
The site adds to InstaVolt’s growing footprint across the South East and reflects its ongoing investment in building the UK’s most dependable ultra-rapid charging network. This includes both convenient locations close to amenities and larger hubs placed on key routes on the UK’s Strategic Road Network.
InstaVolt currently operates over 2,100 chargers across more than 750 sites around the UK and is expanding rapidly with a target of 11,000 chargers across the UK and Ireland by 2030.
