InstaVolt has announced the launch of a new ultra-rapid electric vehicle (EV) charging site at McDonald’s in Deptford, southeast London, reinforcing its commitment to expanding accessible charging infrastructure in urban areas.

Located within Bestwood Retail Park on Bestwood Street, SE8 5DQ, the site features six cutting-edge 160kW chargers, providing drivers with fast, reliable charging available 24/7. With convenient access from the A200 and B207, the location is ideally situated for city commuters, local residents, and passing traffic.

The new site is part of InstaVolt’s strategic partnership with McDonald’s, which has seen the installation of over 270 charging stations across the fast-food giant’s UK portfolio since 2021.

The Deptford location offers drivers the opportunity to top up their vehicles while enjoying food and drink from the on-site McDonald’s, supporting the dwell-time model that underpins InstaVolt’s charger rollout strategy.

“Our new site in Deptford ticks every box for London drivers – it’s fast, reliable, and easy to access,” said InstaVolt CEO, Delvin Lane.

“With six ultra-rapid chargers at McDonald’s, drivers can power up in minutes while enjoying a coffee or a meal. Our partnership with McDonald’s is key to putting EV charging where people need it most.”

All InstaVolt chargers are powered by 100% renewable energy and support contactless payment, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, American Express and major debit and credit cards. The addition of the Deptford site strengthens InstaVolt’s growing footprint across Greater London and supports national efforts to reach net zero.

InstaVolt, the UK’s largest owner-operator of public ultra-rapid charging infrastructure, continues to roll out reliable, high-speed charging solutions in high-demand urban and roadside locations, making EV charging more accessible and convenient than ever.

As an InstaVolt app or InstaVolt RFID card user, you can enjoy lower charging rates between 8pm and 7am at only 54p/kWh, perfect for an evening out or some late-night shopping.
