InstaVolt shares its latest Customer-focused Innovations
Innovation is at our core, not only do we have a growing network of ultra-reliable, ultra-convenient, ultra-rapid EV chargers, we are constantly looking at improvements to make charging on-the-go the best experience for all EV drivers whether they are new to electric car ownership or have been enjoying EV driving for years.
We recently introduced an innovative cable protection technology to combat thieves cutting cables and leaving drivers in the lurch, and we are now the first to be rolling it out nationwide. We were also the first EV charging company to offer contactless payment, without complicated subscriptions or commitment, we have always offered a simple tap charge and go at its best. Our advanced payment systems now offer quicker, more responsive and easier-to-use payment options to deliver a smooth, flexible charging experience for every driver with simpler and clearer customer screens.

Our free InstaVolt app is here to offer drivers convenience as well as rewards and offers. You can find a site en-route, check availability of chargers to plan a journey, link to your favourite navigational map, find the amenities for you and your passengers, add favourites for your regular routes and choose your language. Our dedicated team is always reviewing functionality and new technological advances to offer you more and more, so watch this space for new route planning services in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in-car services.

When drivers are at our charging stations, we always strive to make every session as simple and intuitive as possible. Our upgraded interface screens now offer clearer visuals, making it easier for drivers to see in real-time their charging progress at a glance. We’ve streamlined the start and stop process by reducing on-screen options, so users can quickly begin charging and monitor their session. To enhance convenience, we’ve introduced automatic digital receipts and a one-tap VAT receipt option with support in 12 languages across all our European and international sites. These upgrades make the charging process more intuitive and user-friendly, especially for new EV drivers ensuring a quick, smooth and efficient experience that gets you back on the road without delay. And finally, as technology advances, we are improving our network of chargers already on sites. We are currently in the middle of an extensive upgrade ensuring the newest, fastest and most modern ultra-rapid 160kW devices are distributed around the country.
