InstaVolt, the UK’s leading ultra-rapid EV charging operator, is launching a new summer special rate exclusively at its flagship Winchester Superhub to help drivers make savings on all their journeys this summer.

From 7pm 16th May to 7pm on 31st August 2025, contactless and roaming customers at the Superhub will benefit from a reduced rate of 54p per kWh whatever they use to charge with, and whenever they charge.*

Those using the free InstaVolt app and InstaVolt RFID card will benefit from the rate of 50p per kWh at the Superhub now through the whole summer.*

The Superhub, strategically located near the busy A34 and close to the M3 has 44 accessible, ultra-rapid chargers and an onsite Starbucks café, children’s play area and dedicated dog walking zone, so it’s an ideal pitstop for drivers making long or short road trips this summer.

The Winchester Superhub is the first InstaVolt site to have an on-site solar farm featuring 870 panels and an advanced battery storage system (960kW/4MWh total capacity).

These innovations reduce reliance on the national grid, enabling the site to generate and store clean energy, delivering consistent, cost-effective power, especially during peak hours and ensuring these savings are passed back to the consumer with these special rate tariffs.

*T&Cs apply: The Winchester Superhub Summer Special rate of £0.54 per kWh is available to all contactless, users and current roaming customers of Corpay, Charge Now, Octopus Electroverse, PAUA and OVO Charge from 7pm, 16th May until the 31st August 2025. Users of InstaVolt app and InstaVolt RFID card will be charged at £0.50 per kWh rate. The Winchester Superhub Summer Special rates apply 24/7 at the InstaVolt Winchester EV Superhub only. After 7:00pm on 31 August 2025, pricing will revert to standard tariffs for InstaVolt app and InstaVolt RFID users: £0.50 per kWh (7:00pm – 7:00am) and £0.65 per kWh (7:00am – 7:00pm). All other users, including those paying via contactless methods or roaming partners, will continue to be charged the standard rate of £0.87 per kWh.
