InstaVolt’s Winchester Superhub wins EV Infrastructure Project of the Year at Solar & Storage Live 2025

We are proud to announce that InstaVolt’s flagship Winchester Superhub has been named EV Infrastructure Project of the Year at the 2025 Solar & Storage Live Awards. The award, announced last night at one of the UK’s leading clean energy events, recognises innovation, sustainability, and excellence across the renewable energy and technology sectors.

The Winchester Superhub, which opened six months ago, is the largest facility of its kind in the UK and sets a new standard for public EV charging.  With 44 fully accessible ultra-rapid 160kW chargers, the site is powered by 870 solar panels with on-site battery storage, using real-time energy management to give drivers the best value. Designed to be fully accessible for all EV drivers and vehicles, it also offers a range of on-site amenities including a Starbucks café, 24/7 facilities, and biodiversity features that make it a truly customer-focused hub.

This award underlines InstaVolt’s commitment to delivering charging infrastructure at scale. With more than 2,100 chargers now live nationwide – and our ambition to reach 11,000 chargers across the UK and Ireland by 2030 – the Winchester Superhub represents just one example of how we are investing in a cleaner, greener transport future with more such hub in the planning.
