Everyone at InstaVolt is deeply saddened to learn of Quentin Willson recently passing away.

Quentin was a true pioneer in the motoring world – a respected broadcaster, writer, and campaigner who dedicated his later career to championing electric vehicles and sustainable transport. His advocacy for cleaner mobility helped shape the national conversation around EV adoption, long before it was mainstream.

As a passionate supporter of InstaVolt, Quentin’s insight, enthusiasm and encouragement meant a great deal to our team. We were proud to have him alongside us on several initiatives – from supporting our campaign to reduce VAT on public charging, to celebrating key milestones such as the opening of our Winchester Superhub earlier this year.

Beyond his professional achievements, Quentin will be remembered for his integrity, warmth, and unwavering commitment to progress. The EV industry has lost one of its most articulate and passionate champions, and his absence will be felt deeply across the community.

Our thoughts are with Quentin’s family, friends, and loved ones at this difficult time.

Thank you, Quentin – for your vision, your voice and your tireless dedication to a cleaner, more sustainable future.
