The UK’s EV charging network is growing fast and we are proud to be at the heart of it.
The UK’s electric vehicle charging network is expanding at speed, with 8,670 new public chargers added in the first half of 2025 alone. At InstaVolt, we’re proud to be a major part of that momentum. So far we’ve installed 2,133 chargers across the country, taking that to over 3,000 with those leased or in construction Our network continues to grow in all the right places, on key travel routes, in major cities, and at locations where people naturally want to stop, like McDonald’s, where we’ve now installed chargers at over 250 sites.
As demand for faster, more convenient charging grows, the shift toward larger-scale hubs is happening fast. Charging hubs are booming, up 74% year-on-year and we’re proud to be driving that growth. Our Winchester Superhub is a clear example of where the network is heading: a high-capacity site designed to reduce wait times and keep the charging experience smooth, fast, and stress-free. It’s part of a new generation of infrastructure built to handle the increasing number of EVs on the road today and well into the future.
Ultra-rapid chargers now outnumber rapid ones across the UK, showing just how quickly expectations and technology are evolving. And we’re right there, helping to lead the way. We’re firmly on track to reach 11,000 chargers across the UK and Republic of Ireland by 2030. For EV drivers, that means charging is becoming more accessible, more dependable and range anxiety is quickly becoming a thing of the past.
