In 2015, Bristol became the first UK city to be awarded the title of European Green Capital, an award that acknowledged the long-standing commitment of its people and organisations to reducing their carbon footprint and tackling climate change.

As a city that is proud of its green credentials, it’s no surprise that the InstaVolt team was keen to install EV charging stations at sites throughout the city – to date we’ve installed 31 rapid EV charging stations across ten hubs.

But where are these hubs located and what services are available to drivers?

InstaVolt’s ten EV charging hubs in Bristol… and counting!

Flourish Farm Shop & Foodhall, Glenavon Farm

Available Monday to Sunday, 5am – 10pm, Flourish Farm Shop and Foodhall currently hosts six rapid 120kW EV charging stations.

With a foodhall, kitchen and shop onsite, why not pick up some locally grown and produced goods, enjoy a quick bite to eat, or treat yourself to something nice, while you wait for your EV to charge?

DoubleTree Hilton, Congresbury

Available 24 hours a day, our DoubleTree Hilton EV charging hub in Congresbury – only a short drive from A370 – is home to two 120kW DC electric vehicle charging stations.

While you wait, we recommend exploring the hotel’s beautiful landscaped gardens, that form part of the Cadbury Hill Nature Reserve.

McDonald’s Cribb Causeway

With four chargers available on site, you could enjoy a Big Mac or McFlurry while you charge your EV.

Bristol Golf Centre, Winterbourne

Home to six rapid EV charging stations, available to use Monday to Saturday from 9am – 9pm and on Sunday from 9am – 8pm, our charging hub at Bristol Golf Centre can be found just off the M32 at junction 1.

Costa Coffee, Emersons Green

Only a short distance from the M4, our charging hub at Costa Coffee in Emersons Green has two 120kW DC charging stations.

With the chance to grab a cuppa and a cake while you charge, we’ve found that drivers are always going back for more.

Hanham Community Centre

Delivering a rapid charge to get you back on the road quickly, visit our four rapid EV charging stations at Hanham Community Centre.

Bradley Pavilions, Bradley Stoke

Home to two InstaVolt EV charging stations, our Bradley Pavilions site is available from 6am to 11pm daily.

With a nearby Tesco Express – as well as several other services – drivers can grab their forgotten groceries while they charge their EVs or grab a quick snack to recharge their own batteries.

Southville Service Station

Open 24 hours, our rapid EV charging station at Southville Service Station is handy for those wanting to get back on the road quickly.

With its onsite LifeStyle Express store, you can even grab a sandwich, a sweet treat or even a Costa Coffee hot drink.

Bannatyne Health Club, Redland

Our Bannatyne Health Club hub in Redland is home to two rapid DC charging stations just off the A38.

Like all our Bannatyne locations, these sites offer drivers a multitude of activities to help them recharge their own batteries while they charge their EVs. This includes a cafe and sauna area, or for those who really want to stretch their muscles, a gym and swimming pool.

Lye Cross Farm, Redhill

Our Lye Cross Farm hub in Redhill, just off the A38,  has two rapid 120kW EV charging stations available for use.

Home of Lye Cross Farm’s popular cheesemakers, drivers can find a well stocked farm shop onsite, featuring the farm’s award-winning cheddar. To find all of our EV charging hubs in Bristol, check out our live location map right here on our website, or on the InstaVolt app.
