Two more InstaVolt locations have now been upgraded with CableGuard™, strengthening our commitment to building the UK’s most secure ultra-rapid charging network. Drivers visiting Pensnett Trading Estate in Kingswinford near Dudley or The Lanes Shopping Centre in Birmingham can now plug in with the added reassurance of enhanced cable protection.

CableGuard™ is a high-strength sleeve on charging cables. If tampered with, it releases a forensic liquid that glows under UV light and can be traced back to a specific location. This makes it a powerful deterrent against theft and a valuable tool for law enforcement in identifying and prosecuting offenders.

Both upgraded sites are fully operational, offering the trusted convenience EV drivers expect from InstaVolt. Whether stopping at Kingswinford with food and drink amenities close by, or combining a charge with shopping and refreshments in Birmingham, drivers can get back on the road quickly knowing the network is protected and reliable.
