New InstaVolt Ultra-Rapid Charging Site Opens in Elvas, Portugal

InstaVolt’s network in Portugal continues to grow and we are pleased to share that we are now nearing ten operational sites across the country. This latest expansion takes our total to twenty ultra-rapid chargers live in Portugal, giving EV drivers even more choice, stronger coverage and more convenient places to power up on the go. 

Our newest location is in Elvas, positioned close to the Spanish border and conveniently located beside the key motorway route linking Lisbon to Madrid. This makes it an ideal stop for cross-border travel, long-distance journeys and everyday driving, supporting both local drivers and those travelling between Portugal and Spain. 

In addition to ultra-rapid charging, the Elvas site has on-site amenities, with a hotel, restaurant and essential services available to help create a more comfortable charging stop. Whether drivers are taking a short break or pausing on a longer journey, the facilities on site make it easy to recharge both vehicle and driver. 

This opening is another important step in InstaVolt’s international expansion. We are on track to deliver five thousand international chargers by 2030, bringing the InstaVolt charging experience to more drivers across Europe.
