Top 20 in The Sunday Times 100 Tech 2026
We’ve been ranked 16th in the 2026 edition of The Sunday Times 100 Tech (hardware), which recognises Britain’s fastest-growing private technology companies.
This ranking reflects a year of strong commercial performance for InstaVolt, with £50m in sales recorded during the period assessed – the largest reported by an electric vehicle (EV) charge point operator featured in this year’s list. And the largest CPO in the UK with over 3,000 chargers.
Over the past year, we’ve continued to scale our ultra-rapid EV charging network across the UK and Europe, investing in resilient infrastructure, smarter energy solutions and a charging experience designed for customers, not just vehicles.
Key milestones include the opening of Winchester Superhub, the UK’s largest single-operator ultra-rapid EV charging hub, progress on our next major superhub at Chicklade on the A303, and the completion of a landmark on-site battery storage installation at Welcome Break Corley services on the M6.
By integrating battery storage directly into our charging sites, we’re reducing reliance on large grid connections, maintaining consistent charging speeds during peak demand and improving overall site resilience. This approach supports faster network growth while contributing to a more flexible and efficient energy system.
Securing 16th place in The Sunday Times 100 Tech reflects the scale at which we’re now operating, as well as the delivery and commitment of our teams during a period that has tested growth-focused businesses across every sector.
Looking ahead to 2026, our focus remains on expanding the network, increasing capacity and continuing to improve the driver experience.
