We’re excited to announce that from Monday 9th June, the Starbucks café onsite at our flagship Winchester Superhub is extending its opening hours from 6:00am to 8:30pm over the summer.

Thanks to our strong partnership with Starbucks, we’re able to support both local and national EV drivers – just when you need it most.

Whether you are up at sunrise and charging on your daily commute, picking the kids up from school or making the most of the late summer evenings with friends, then you can enjoy a refreshment while you power up.

The InstaVolt Winchester Superhub is open 24 hours a day to suit your charging needs, whenever it works best for you, and now, from 6:00am to 8:30pm from 9th June to 31st August, you can also grab a snack, coffee, lunch or a refreshing cold drink while you charge.

This is ultra-rapid charging and comfortable convenient services at its best.

Plus, if you are charging with one of these roaming RFID cards or apps: Octopus Electroverse; OVO Charge or Allstar, Plugsurfing, Polestar Charge and PayByPhone then until the 27th July, your drink is on us!*

On top of that, until the end of August we have a new summer special rate exclusively at the Superhub to help drivers make savings on all their journeys this summer. Contactless and roaming customers will benefit from a reduced rate of 54p per kWh whatever they use to charge with, and whenever they charge. And those drivers using the free InstaVolt app and InstaVolt RFID card will benefit from the rate of 50p per kWh at the Superhub now through the whole summer.

The Winchester Superhub is an innovative site for sustainable EV charging as it is our first site to feature an on-site solar farm (870 panels) and advanced battery storage systems (with 960kW/4MWh total capacity). This self-sufficient model means the Superhub generates and stores renewable energy to reduce reliance on the grid, allowing us to operate efficiently and sustainably. This enables the site to generate and store clean energy, delivering consistent, cost-effective power especially during peak hours and therefore allowing us to pass savings directly to back to drivers through reduced rates.

The Superhub also reflects InstaVolt’s broader mission to remove barriers to EV adoption through affordable pricing, reliable infrastructure, and driver-first facilities, all delivered at what many are calling the ‘service station of the future.’
