This summer, charging in Derby just got even better. Our Normanton Road hub is now part of the InstaVolt Summer Special, offering great-value charging rates around the clock, perfect for busy days in the city or quick stop-offs on the go.

Conveniently located on Normanton Road, DE1 2GG, and just minutes from Southgate Retail Park, this site is ideal whether you’re running errands, commuting in from nearby towns, or heading into the city centre. With popular food and drink spots like Dunkin’ Donuts, Starbucks and Wendy’s close by, it’s a great place to grab a bite while you top up your charge. Plus, if you’ve got time to spare, the nearby Showcase Cinema and Hollywood Bowl offer the perfect opportunity to relax and recharge both yourself and your EV.

Now benefiting from our Summer Special charging rate, the site offers reduced charging rates of just £0.50 per kWh via the InstaVolt app or InstaVolt RFID card, and £0.54 per kWh for contactless and roaming users. These special prices are available 24/7 through to the 31st August 2025, giving you more value with every visit.*

The Summer Special rate of £0.54 per kWh is available to all contactless users and roaming customers until the 31st August 2025. Users of InstaVolt app and InstaVolt RFID card will be charged at £0.50 per kWh rate.  The InstaVolt Summer Special rates apply 24/7 at participating locations only:  

• Derby (Normanton Road, Derby, DE1 2GG)
• Southampton (Unit 1, Purlieu Centre, Hardley Ind Est, Southampton, SO45 3AE)
• Exeter (The Gissons Hotel, Kennford, Exeter, EX6 7UD)  
• Bodmin Hub (Bodmin Retail Park, Launceston Road, Bodmin, PL31 2GA)
• Syon Park (Park Road, Isleworth, London, TW8 8JF)
• Winchester Superhub (Andover Road, Winchester, SO21 3ET) 

After 7:00pm on 31st August 2025:   

• Pricing at all participating sites excluding Winchester Superhub will be charged at the standard rate of £0.87 per kWh. For InstaVolt app and InstaVolt RFID users the standard off peak rate of £0.54 per kWh (8:00pm – 7:00am) will apply.   
• Pricing at Winchester Superhub will be charged at the standard rate of £0.87 per kWh.  For InstaVolt app and InstaVolt RFID users the rates will be charged at £0.65 per kWh (7:00am – 7:00pm) and off-peak rate of £0.54 per kWh (7:00pm – 7:00am).
