InstaVolt shortlisted in CiTTi Awards 2024
We are excited to announce that we have been named a finalist in the CiTTi (City Transport & Traffic Innovation) Awards 2024. As the UK’s largest rapid electric vehicle charging network, we have been shortlisted for the highly coveted ‘EV Charging Infrastructure Award.’
The CiTTi Awards celebrate and reward efforts in the UK, or by UK-based companies and organisations, that contribute to the sustainable movement of people and goods through urban environments.
This year, we have reached significant milestones in the sector, becoming the first charge point operator to surpass 2,000 rapid and ultra-rapid chargers live or in build across our network. Our ultra-rapid EV charging Banbury superhub, located at Stroud Park just off junction 11 of the M40, offers 32 ultra-rapid chargers and is available for drivers 24/7. With on-site amenities including Costa Coffee, Hotel Chocolat, and Miller and Carter restaurant, all chargers provide simple, contactless payment with no connection charge or subscription.
In April, we opened a 14-charger superhub at the iconic Syon Park in West London, providing vital support to a busy part of the city. In June, we broke ground north of Winchester on the UK’s largest rapid-only superhub at Three Maids Hill, just meters from the A34 junction near the M3. This hub will feature 44 charging bays, including drive-through bays, along with an on-site restaurant and children’s play area.
Delvin Lane, our CEO, said: “We are thrilled to be shortlisted for this widely recognised and prestigious award. Our Banbury superhub has demonstrated a real need for larger charging sites, and we are working hard to expand our infrastructure to meet the needs of the ever-growing numbers of EV drivers.
“This nomination also recognises the commitment and hard work of our team at InstaVolt. We’re installing record numbers of chargers, with more than 1,600 live chargers and another 400 in build. We are also installing chargers at a faster rate than any other charge point operator.”
With over 1,190,000 electric cars on UK roads, we are committed to our target of more than 11,000 rapid chargers by 2030.
The CiTTi Awards 2024 will be held on Tuesday, 26th November 2024, at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London.
