More InstaVolt chargers for Greater Manchester

Electric car drivers in Manchester are finding it easier to get around, thanks to the installation of 13 rapid chargers by InstaVolt.

The company has installed the chargers at strategic locations where drivers can easily charge up as part of their normal journeys. The sites have also been chosen so drivers can grab a drink or pick up shopping while they charge.

In Greater Manchester InstaVolt has installed chargers at:

• Lime Square Retail Park, Manchester
• Rainbow Garage, Salford
• Mauldeth Services, Manchester
• Limes Service Station, Worsley
• Hopwood Service Station, Middleton
• Gorton Services, Manchester
• BP Audenshaw, Audenshaw

The installation of more InstaVolt rapid chargers in Greater Manchester has been welcomed by local EV drivers using Zap Map, which allows people to find and review electric vehicle chargers.

One wrote: “InstaVolt chargers are awesome! Finally a network that works easily, is fast and actually looks great too!” Another added: “Quick and simple.”

Unlike many other charging stations, all of InstaVolt’s are available for EV drivers to use on a pay-as-you-go basis with no subscription, card or membership needed. Drivers simply tap their contactless credit or debit card to pay. They can even use their smart watch or phone to pay if it’s set up for contactless payments.
