Electric driving and charging, built around daily family life
For Dan and Charlie, two of our regular customers, choosing to drive electric has proved to be a great decision, especially with how seamlessly it fits into their family’s everyday routine.
With young children and regular journeys, stopping is part of life. Charging needs to be fast, straightforward and dependable, so those pauses feel like a break and a natural part of their journey.
We met Dan and Charlie at one of our sites and they shared why we have become their first choice whenever they’re on the road.
Charging that works when life is busy
Dan explains that on longer journeys they actively look for InstaVolt chargers because they’re consistently in service, easy to use and good value. For a family that regularly needs to stop anyway, being able to charge quickly while taking care of the children makes all the difference.
Using the app, accessing lower off-peak charging rates of 60p per kWh between 8pm and 7am and benefiting from occasional promotions means charging feels simple and predictable, something that fits naturally into the rhythm of family life.
A choice shaped by values
Charlie speaks about the importance of air quality and caring for the environment, values she and Dan want to pass on to their children. Driving electric isn’t just about today’s journeys, but about the world they’re helping to shape for the future for their children.
As Charlie puts it, they want the planet to be here long after they’re gone.
Lifestyle, not logistics
Their story reflects a broader shift in how families experience electric driving. When charging is reliable and easy, it fades into the background, allowing people to focus on what actually matters: time together, smooth journeys making memories along the way.
