Award winning public electric vehicle charging network operator InstaVolt has appointed Chris Bott as Chief Financial Officer as the company enters a new phase of growth.

As the UK’s largest owner-managed rapid charge network, InstaVolt partners with major brands including McDonald’s, Starbucks, Costa Coffee and KFC to install chargers at premium locations across the country.

Chris joins InstaVolt from the FTSE 250 online retailer AO World PLC where, as Head of Finance, he integrated the acquisition of MobilePhonesDirect.co.uk into the wider AO.com group.

With an impressive financial career spanning over 15 years, Chris has also worked with IBM, Mars, Fox’s Biscuits and its parent company Boparan Holdings in various senior finance roles in both UK and wider Europe, in addition to traditional retail and ecommerce routes to market.

His experience includes significant commercial analysis with sales and marketing partners, managing large teams across factories and distribution centres, mergers and acquisitions, cost saving programmes and supporting key senior stakeholders at board level.

Chris commented: “I’m thrilled to be joining InstaVolt at this important time in the company’s development. With electrification rising up the Government’s agenda, we will be presented with increasing opportunities to push ahead with our ambitious plans for growth”.

Adrian Keen, InstaVolt’s CEO added: “We’re delighted to have Chris on board. His appointment complements our senior management team perfectly as we enter the next phase in the company’s development.”.

Away from work, Chris enjoys spending his free time relaxing at home in Hampshire with his wife and daughter. His interests include playing football and tennis and he enjoys cycling – he is also very keen on music and can play several instruments.

InstaVolt has been named as the best electric vehicle charging network for multiple brands for 2020 in Auto Express’ first ever chargepoint operator survey. The accolade adds to the recognition that the company earned in a similar survey conducted by Zap-Map in 2019, where electric car drivers across the county named InstaVolt as their favourite charging network for multiple brands for the second year running.
