We’ve always believed that doing the right thing for our customers means more than making promises. It means taking action.

That’s why, despite the significant cost pressures facing the public charging industry right now, we’re reducing our off-peak rate by more than 8% to 55p per kWh* for 11 hours every day. From 8pm on 22nd April 2026 our app users can benefit from this exclusive new rate. It’s not a small gesture. It’s the direct result of the investments we’ve been making behind the scenes to build a more sustainable, resilient network.

We’ve been quietly rolling out battery storage technology across more and more of our sites. This changes how we buy power – reducing our exposure to the volatility of global energy markets and giving us greater control over our costs. And our commitment is simple. Benefits we realise and savings generated through forward-thinking investments like this we pass back to our customers.

The cost environment for public charging remains genuinely challenging. Standing charges, energy market pressures, and wider industry costs don’t disappear overnight. But we’re not waiting for external conditions to improve before we act – We’re building the kind of network that can weather those pressures and share the benefits when we do.

The off-peak rate reduction is for our loyal app customers – the drivers who’ve chosen to charge smarter and plan ahead. Your support makes investment like this possible, and this is our way of giving something back.

Download the free, no subscription InstaVolt app to access these off-peak rates of 55p per kWh for 11 hours every day and stay tuned as our battery storage rollout continues to grow.

And we don’t stop there! Our flagship Winchester Superhub, with its greatest investment in battery storage and solar, will have an even more special rate throughout Summer 2026.

With a standard rate of 70p per kWh around the clock for all drivers, and app users benefiting from the 55p per kWh off-peak rate between 8pm and 7am, as well as only a 65p per kWh# daytime rate. It is the clearest demonstration yet of what battery storage can do: lower prices, greater stability, and savings passed directly to the drivers who use our network.
