InstaVolt expands British Land partnership to continue major UK retail park EV charging rollout

We’re proud to announce the expansion of our partnership with property development and investment company British Land, continuing work on one of the UK’s largest retail park EV charging rollouts.

The partnership now covers 18 British Land locations in development, delivering 273 charging units across the sites. Three are already live, with the remainder set to open over the coming months.

Three sites currently in development – Reading Gate, Kingston, and Milton Keynes – will also feature on-site battery energy storage. This technology helps maintain consistent ultra-rapid charging performance during the busiest periods, while easing demand on the local grid and supporting reliable charging even at peak times.

With many sites offering late-night shopping, drivers can also take advantage of our off-peak rates of just 55p from 8pm-7am through our free InstaVolt app.

Retail parks are a natural home for our ultra-rapid charging, bringing reliable infrastructure to high-footfall destinations where drivers already spend time. This rollout reinforces our commitment to building and maintaining reliable, convenient charging infrastructure across the UK.
