InstaVolt shortlisted for EV Infrastructure Project of the Year at the Solar & Storage Live Awards 2026
We’re proud to announce that InstaVolt has been shortlisted for the Solar & Storage Live Awards 2026 in the EV Infrastructure Project of the Year category for our battery storage programme.
This project is transforming our charging network by integrating battery energy storage technology across sites, a key initiative designed to strengthen our charging network and ensure it’s ready to meet the growing demands of the UK’s transition to electric vehicles.
As the number of EVs on UK roads continues to rise, so too does the need for charging infrastructure that is both reliable and resilient. By installing battery storage at selected sites, we’re able to better manage energy demand, optimise available grid capacity and continue delivering the ultra-rapid, reliable charging experience our customers expect.
The programme also provides greater flexibility for our network, supporting future growth while helping to maximise the efficiency of existing electrical infrastructure.
This investment forms part of our wider commitment to building an EV charging network that is fit for the future. As charging demand increases, innovative energy solutions will play an increasingly important role in supporting the UK’s transition to cleaner transport.
Delivering a programme of this scale has required close collaboration across multiple teams, from network planning and engineering through to delivery, operations and maintenance. Their expertise and commitment have been instrumental in bringing this project to life and ensuring it continues to deliver long-term value for both our customers and the wider energy network.
This shortlisting is a testament to the dedication, innovation and collaboration of everyone involved in the programme. As we continue to expand our network, we remain committed to investing in technologies that improve performance, increase resilience and enhance the charging experience for drivers across the UK.
We’re honoured to be recognised alongside other organisations driving innovation across the energy sector, and we wish all finalists the very best of luck.
