InstaVolt shortlisted at the Green Awards UK 2026
We’re delighted to announce that InstaVolt has been shortlisted for the Green Technology Award at this year’s Green Awards UK, in recognition of our innovative Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Programme. The awards celebrate organisations and projects leading the way in sustainability, innovation and environmental excellence across the UK.
Our battery storage programme is transforming the way we power our ultra-rapid charging network. By integrating BESS across our sites, we’re creating a smarter, more resilient charging infrastructure that optimises available grid capacity, manages energy demand more efficiently and supports the continued expansion of EV charging across the UK.
As demand for electric vehicles continues to grow, battery storage is playing an increasingly important role in delivering reliable charging while helping to overcome grid constraints. Our rollout enables us to store energy when demand is lower and use it during peak periods, improving network performance, increasing operational efficiency and supporting a more sustainable energy system.
Being shortlisted for the Green Technology Award is recognition of the investment, innovation and expertise behind this programme. It reflects the commitment of our engineering, energy, network planning and delivery teams, whose work is helping to future-proof public EV charging while supporting the UK’s transition to net zero.
We’re incredibly proud to be recognised alongside so many organisations driving sustainable innovation and look forward to celebrating with the other finalists at this year’s Green Awards UK ceremony.
