InstaVolt Team Volunteer at Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary

At InstaVolt, we believe that supporting our communities is an important part of who we are. As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, every member of our team is given a dedicated volunteering day each year to support a charity or community organisation that matters to them.

Recently, a few members of our team spent their volunteering day at the wonderful Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. The sanctuary provides a safe and caring home for donkeys that have experienced neglect, ill-treatment or difficult circumstances where they have simply lost their owners.

Our volunteers got stuck into a variety of hands-on tasks throughout the day, including mucking out stables, grooming the donkeys, and helping bring them in at the end of the day. While the work was hot and dusty, it was incredibly rewarding.

The team had a fantastic experience learning more about the donkeys, their individual personalities, and the important work carried out by the sanctuary’s dedicated staff and long-term volunteers. Spending time with the animals created a real sense of connection, and they left with a greater appreciation for the care of donkeys.

We’re proud to support organisations like Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary and grateful to their team for making our volunteers feel so welcome. Days like these remind us of the positive impact that volunteering can have, both for the charities we support and for our own teams.
