We were delighted to be the main sponsor of the Burghfield FC Summer Tournament, held over the weekend of 6th to 7th June — and it turned out to be a brilliant two days of grassroots football.

Rain, mud and 250 teams

The weather did its best to test everyone’s resolve on Saturday, but 250 teams and more than 4,000 players, coaches, families and supporters refused to let it get in the way. Teams travelled from as far as London and Portsmouth to take part, and the atmosphere across the whole weekend was everything you’d hope a local football tournament would be: competitive, good-natured and full of energy.

A tournament for everyone

What makes Burghfield FC’s Summer Tournament stand out is its range. Competition ran across boys and girls age groups from under-7s to under-18s, as well as men’s, women’s and even over-50s walking football. Every category was hard-fought, and 40 sets of winners and runners-up went home with trophies at the end of the weekend.

Our CEO Delvin Lane was there and had the honour of presenting trophies to every winning team and runner-up, a reflection of just how much InstaVolt valued being part of the occasion.

Why grassroots sport matters to us

InstaVolt is headquartered in Basingstoke and is part of local communities, and sponsoring events like the Burghfield FC Summer Tournament is one of the ways we choose to give something back. Grassroots football clubs like Burghfield FC rely on fundraising events like this to keep going, and we’re proud to have played a role in making the 2026 edition such a success.
