Reading Gate site brings 12 ultra-rapid chargers just off the M4

Drivers heading into Reading on the M4 have a new place to plug in. Our latest charging hub is now open at Reading Gate retail park, just off Junction 11, with 12 ultra-rapid chargers available 24/7.

Right where drivers already stop

Junction 11 is one of the busiest routes into Reading, and that’s exactly why we chose it. When we plan a new site, we look for two things: a location close to major roads and plenty for drivers to do while they charge. Reading Gate delivers both, with quick access to one of the UK’s busiest motorways and a wide choice of places to eat, shop and take a break.

Built for today’s drivers and tomorrow’s demand

All 12 chargers are supported by on-site battery energy storage, helping to ease pressure on the grid. Like every charger on our network, they’re powered by 100% renewable energy.

The hub also includes three fully accessible bays, giving drivers more room to get in and out and space for wider vehicles.

Reading Gate is home to a strong line-up of food, drink and retail, so your charging time fits into your stop rather than adding to it.

Simple to pay, with off-peak savings

The site is available to all EV drivers on a pay-as-you-go basis via contactless card, the free InstaVolt app, or RFID card. Off-peak rates of just 55p per kWh between 8pm and 7am are available to any driver via the app or RFID card.

No membership or subscription necessary, just plug in and go.
