InstaVolt shortlisted in three categories at the Thames Valley 250 Awards!

We’re delighted to announce that InstaVolt has been shortlisted in three categories at this year’s Thames Valley 250 Awards, which champion exceptional performance across leadership, innovation and business growth among the region’s leading privately owned businesses.

Being recognised across three categories – and across leadership, growth and innovation – is a reflection of the ambition and hard work that drives everything we do at InstaVolt. Here’s what we’ve been shortlisted for:

• CEO of the Year (Under £50m) – This shortlisting recognises the leadership of our CEO, Delvin Lane, in building InstaVolt into the UK’s leading public ultra-rapid charging network. Under Delvin’s leadership, InstaVolt has grown to over 4,000+ chargers active or in lease across 1,200+ sites in the UK, achieved market-leading network uptime of over 99%, and became the first UK charge point operator to reach EBITDA profitability – all while maintaining a genuine commitment to sustainability, accessibility and customer experience. Delvin was recognised at last year’s Thames Valley 250 Awards as CEO of the Year, and this shortlisting reflects the continued momentum of the business and its leadership under his direction.
• Fast Riser Award – This shortlisting reflects a period of exceptional commercial momentum for InstaVolt. In the year ending March 2026, we delivered huge revenue growth, grew our charger count, and reached multi-million pound EBITDA profitability – a first for any UK charge point operator. Backed by £250 million of new debt funding and a £40 million equity injection from EQT, one of the world’s largest infrastructure private equity funds, InstaVolt is well-positioned to sustain and accelerate this growth.
• Innovation Award – This shortlisting celebrates the breadth and impact of our battery innovation programme over the past 12 months. Our battery energy storage system (BESS) rollout – with eight sites now live and at least 20 more confirmed for 2026 – is directly addressing the grid constraints holding back the UK’s EV infrastructure, unlocking sites that would otherwise be unviable and delivering measurable improvements in charging performance. At Corley South, BESS has driven a 33% increase in energy delivered per session; at our Winchester Superhub, on-site solar contributed 42,000 kWh of zero-cost power in one month alone. Alongside BESS, our MRI field management platform is transforming how our engineers work in the field, improving response times, reducing downtime and enabling smarter deployment of our teams across the network.
