Charge at £0.50p/kWh with Bank Holiday boost

As the temperature continues to rise, the price continues to fall at our flagship Winchester Superhub electric vehicle charging site.

We are delighted to announce that from 7am on Thursday 1st May 2025, at this site only, InstaVolt app and InstaVolt RFID card users can top up and pay just 50p per kWh, whether they charge their vehicles day or night.*

The Winchester Superhub, our largest and most advanced site to date, strategically located near the busy A34 and close to the M3, the gateway to the south coast, midlands and north is designed with long-distance drivers in mind:

  • 44 ultra-rapid chargers (up to 160kW)
  • 4 extended bays for vans and long vehicles
  • 4 drive-through bays for large or towing vehicles like caravans
  • 3 fully-accessible Blue Badge bays, plus wide access across all bays
  • On-site Starbucks Café, children’s play area and a dedicated dog walking zone

The Winchester Superhub is an innovative site for sustainable EV charging as it is our first site to feature an on-site solar farm (870 panels) and advanced battery storage systems (with 960kW/4MWh total capacity). This self-sufficient model means the Superhub generates and stores renewable energy to reduce reliance on the grid, allowing us to operate more efficiently and sustainably.

The Superhub also reflects InstaVolt’s broader mission to remove barriers to EV adoption through affordable pricing, reliable infrastructure, and driver-first facilities, all delivered at what many are calling the ‘service station of the future.’

EV Drivers can take advantage of this rate by downloading the InstaVolt app now from their chosen app store.

*The Bank Holiday Boost promotional rate of £0.50 per kWh is available exclusively to InstaVolt app and InstaVolt RFID card users from 7:00am on 1st May 2025 until 7:00am on 6th May 2025. This discounted rate applies only at the Winchester EV Superhub. After 7:00am on 6th May 2025, pricing will revert to the standard tariffs for InstaVolt app and InstaVolt RFID card users: £0.65 per kWh (7:00am – 7:00pm) and £0.50 per kWh (7:00pm – 7:00am). All other users, including those paying via contactless methods, will continue to be charged the standard rate of £0.87 per kWh.
