InstaVolt supports your holiday driving with a new standard charging rate at our flagship Winchester Superhub.

From midday today, InstaVolt app & InstaVolt RFID card users can charge up at the Winchester Superhub and pay just 65p per kWh with our new exclusive price.

If you are leaving later to beat the traffic, these drivers can also take advantage of our existing off-peak rate of 50p per kWh from 7pm to 7am daily. This makes this Superhub one of the cheapest PAYG ultra-rapid charging sites in the country.

The Winchester Superhub, our largest and most advanced site to date is strategically located near the busy A34 and close to the M3, the gateway to the south coast, midlands and north

Designed with long-distance drivers in mind, the site also supports commuters and locals alike with:

• 44 ultra-rapid chargers (up to 160kW)
• 4 extended bays for vans and long vehicles
• 4 drive-through bays for large or towing vehicles
• 3 fully-accessible Blue Badge bays, plus wide access across all bays
• On-site Starbucks Café, children’s play area, and a dedicated dog walking zone

The Winchester Superhub is also an innovative site for sustainable EV charging as it is our first site to feature an on-site solar farm (870 panels) and advanced battery storage systems (with 960kW/4MWh total capacity). This self-sufficient model means the Superhub generates and stores renewable energy to reduce reliance on the grid, allowing us to operate more efficiently and sustainably and pass these savings back to you!

The Superhub also reflects InstaVolt’s broader mission to remove barriers to EV adoption through affordable pricing, reliable infrastructure, and driver-first facilities, all delivered at what many are calling the “service station of the future.”

*Standard rate exclusive to the InstaVolt Winchester Superhub. £0.65 per kWh charging rate only applies to sessions started via the InstaVolt app or InstaVolt RFID Card, from 12pm on 17/04/25.  £0.50 p/kWh off-peak rate still applies between 7pm – 7am. There is no member fee or subscription require. For all other customers our standard rate remains at £0.87 per kwh.
