InstaVolt has been named winner of the Safety Excellence Award at the 2026 Safety and Health Excellence Awards (SHE Awards), held at a ceremony at the Coventry Building Society Arena on 1 July.

The SHE Awards celebrate the very best in workplace health and safety across the UK, and this year’s event received a record number of entries – making InstaVolt’s win a standout achievement.

The Safety Excellence Award recognises an organisation that can demonstrate either an exemplary health and safety record and we were proud to highlight in our entry the areas where we have embedded safety into everyday operations, not just as a policy:

  • Nearly half a million man hours completed without a RIDDOR-reportable incident, alongside a strong incident and near-miss reporting culture and a confirmed zero RIDDOR record.
  • Robust induction and onboarding, with all new employees completing a full induction into InstaVolt’s HSEQ standards and expectations. – tailored to warehouse-specific risks.
  • Driver safety, with all company van drivers undergoing a driving assessment.
  • A strong safety record at our flagship Winchester Superhub, which has been fully open to the public for over a year with no construction activity in FY25/26.

We were up against strong competition in the category, with Palletline Ltd receiving Highly Commended and Huyton Asphalt receiving Commended. Our Head of HSEQ, Rachel Reade, proudly attended the ceremony with the team to accept the award in person.

This award is more than just a win, it’s a demonstration of our ongoing commitment to delivering excellence – both on and off the forecourt.
