Smarter Energy Behind Every Charge
Our battery storage network continues to grow, with Booths Knutsford the latest InstaVolt location to benefit from the technology.
Battery storage is becoming an increasingly important part of how we build a smarter and more resilient ultra-rapid charging network. Our batteries can store energy when it’s more readily available and release it when demand increases, helping us make better use of available power and reduce pressure on local grid connections.
For drivers, much of this clever technology happens quietly behind the scenes. You can simply arrive, plug in and charge as normal, while our batteries help provide the power needed to keep vehicles moving during busier periods.
The latest addition at Booths Knutsford builds on our long-standing partnership with Booths and our continued investment in the site, which now features six chargers alongside the supermarket’s food, drink and shopping amenities.
It joins a growing number of battery-equipped InstaVolt locations across the country as we continue investing in technology that helps us get more from the energy available to us. At sites including Corley and Winchester, we’re already seeing how battery storage can increase the power available to drivers and allow energy purchased at quieter times to be used when demand is higher.
As our charging network grows, so will the technology supporting it. Booths Knutsford is another step in our wider battery storage programme, helping us build a charging network that’s ready for more EVs, more journeys and greater demand.
