Following a spate of cable-cutting incidents across selected sites that had previously left some of our charging charging stations unusable, we’re pleased to announce that affected chargers are now back online and available for customer use.

After vandalism and copper theft of charging cables at some of our sites across the Midlands and Yorkshire, we have stepped up surveillance to protect our infrastructure and ensure that drivers have access to charging infrastructure. We have introduced new measures including CCTV, security patrols and highly advanced SmartWater Technology, which uses traceable liquid. This has been highly successful in reducing theft because only a tiny speck of liquid is required to link a criminal back to the scene of crime.
