Upgrades underway at Banbury hub

At our Banbury hub, situated just off the M40 at Junction 11, we’re replacing our original 8, 125kW CPE250 units with 8 cutting-edge BYD 160kW ultra-rapid chargers. These state-of-the-art chargers offer faster and more efficient charging, ensuring you can get back on the road quicker than ever before. The hub remains fully operational during the upgrade process, with the remaining 24 ultra-rapid chargers available for use throughout the upgrade process. By 20th December, all 32 chargers will be up and running, just in time for the Christmas break, the perfect early gift for EV drivers.

The upgrade is part of our ongoing commitment to delivering the best charging experience for our drivers. Over 70% of our chargers across our UK network are already ultra-rapid, and for the past two years, all our new installations have been state-of-the-art ultra-rapid chargers capable of charging at up to 160kW. Now, we’re taking the next step by regularly upgrading older chargers across our network to ensure every single one is ultra-rapid.

This enhancement at Banbury ensures we continue meeting the needs of EV drivers at one of our busiest locations, making it even easier and quicker for you to power up and get back on the road. Don’t forget to pop into our fantastic on site partners when charging, including Costa Coffee, Hotel Chocolat and Miller and Carter Steakhouse.
